Unless I'm missing something, even George would prefer Nothing Left to Lose most of the time.

This requires waiting to accumulate supplies (starts with 2, but the other can give up to 5). That's not great if you need the money now.

Nothing Left to Lose also gives card draw, which George usually can take advantage of.

This costs one resource, for a card that you use when you're short on resources.

Nothing Left to Lose has a ? symbol in case you don't need it when you get it. (Marginal benefit, but it's there).

Pro: this can be re-used, when you re-shuffle your deck, I guess.

1 less xp here, even though survivors usually have extra xp laying around.

Maybe an insurance for Preston, as a way to easily deal with his weakness, or in general to save resources for later since they go directly to your pool. I don't see him discarding a lot of cards, though... — AlderSign · 435
It's hard to even justify using it for that role in a Preston deck when Investments exists; are you really going to be discarding more than one card a round? — Thatwasademo · 58
er uh wait this card exhausts to add a supply anyway so welp — Thatwasademo · 58
Yeah, it's bad :( — AlderSign · 435
Seems like it could be good with Yorick; even without discarding it goes Resource positive. Could combine it with Glimmer of Hope and a discard outlet for some kind of synergy? It'd be a lot nicer if it wasn't limited to 1 per Investigator. — ClassyD · 1
For George, I agree you should get Nothing Left to Lose first. For me, I think Ample Supplies is still good that you may want it, especially if your running Forced Learning since you want some redundancy. — tactis · 22
Yeah, but the exhaust really hurts. — AlderSign · 435
I think this is mostly good in Patrice, who triggers it trivially every turn and may want to have resources banked for later... but asking exp for it when E-Cache exists (which this card needs at least another round to even tie) is questionable — Shandras · 3
Ashcan Pete can build up a nest egg with this passively by feeding Duke card treats. Even if you're playing poor-man Pete, you can save up some 'emergency cash' without it impacting your zero-resources strategy. — khoshekh · 8
Wouldnt this card be broken on Patrice Hathaway? — Buzzsaw · 8
George has no assurance he's going to get Nothing Left to Lose when he needs it. Ample supplies lets you get your resource at any point, and it's also on your playing field therefore your weakness will not cast it adrift. Also it's recursive as it doesn't leave the game, so things like resourceful+gift of nodens let you pull it back out for some more resource. Make sure and play ample, then do a discard on your turn, then if you have forced learning it auto discards right after upkeeping. So the turn after you play this it will have 4 resource, which you can choose to keep around. The one thing I will say is it should start at 3 imo but it's still useful, also only 2xp — MechaStrizan · 1
