You press three small hidden nodes inset into the vault door and it slides open with a satisfying hiss. Inside is a desiccated corpse of an alien creature, its octopoid face and leathery wings reduced to dust. It holds an obsidian slate in one bony hand; you identify it as a kind of city map, likely of R'lyeh itself.
