This is the second deck I used to win TFA two-handed (the other one being Ursula https://arkhamdb.com/decklist/view/21869/dear-diary-today-i-mended-earth-s-timeline-1.0). Ultimately I got R1 in that campaign, marking my first win. This deck performed very well, and I'm quite happy about the result.

This deck is a flex deck, made to support a strong clue collector. Depending on your draw and your situation, you can evade, fight or even help with the clues. The deck is also decent at resource acceleration, using David Renfield and Watch this to quickly get some cash.

Opening hand: Since you lean so heavily into will, you will often trigger Lucky cigarette case each round. Therefore, I really like to see it in my opening hand. it is also a good standing stone to swap out later for something else, using Dexter's ability. Suggestion or Shriveling/enchanted blade are also good, so you can handle early enemies. The tarot or an ally are nice but not clutch.

Hand slots: the keen reader will notice that the original version did not use the hand slots at all. Once I realized how many assets you can get into play with Dexter, I decided to rectify that. In hindsight the deck probably could have used a flashlight or Cthonian stone, but it worked out anyway. I decided to upgrade into the Book of Shadows for an extra arcane slot and that worked surprisingly well! It made Dexter super efficient that you could both have a rite, a suggestion and an enchanted blade in play.

Arcane: This is where things get crowded. Lvl 0 had Mists of Rlyeh and Shrivelling, but as you can just dump assets with Dexter's ability, I decided to get some Rites of seeking as well. Suggestion is incredibly good, as you evade with a base of 7 (and due to tarot/Renfield, you will often evade for more). His arcane selection made him incredibly flexible, and with a Word of Command and Molly Maxwell you can often tutor an asset if you miss one.

Ally: Molly Maxwell is incredibly good. She is an amazing horror sink (horror became a problem later in the campaign) and she can tutor spell assets for you if you can't find them. I never really got David Renfield before, but now I really get him! And if you don't feel like you want to advance, you trigger his ability and use Dexter's ability to push him away for something else. Simply amazing.

Accessory: At a base will of 5 and with Renfield + Tarots, I decided to go a different route early on than the usual Holy rosary/Key and go hard for Lucky cigarette case. As mentioned above it worked beyond expectation! I was triggering it almost every round from either treacheries or spells. Such good card advantage. And it is an easy card to bump out with Dexter's ability once your board is settled.

Clues: you are not really meant to get clues, but can with Rite of Seeking, which became pretty important in Yepths of Doth and Shattered Aeons. Your primary function is to keep the lane clean for the seeker!

Enemies: You either zap them with Shrivelling, or chop them with the blade. I decided to go for the blade late in the campaign as Dexter suffered quite a lot of trauma, and that became a problem with the occasional horror from Shrivelling and Ward of Protection. My main enemy strategy for vengeance and/or non-hunters was to use Suggestion. I don't think I ever had a suggestion running out. It's a risky strategy - if you fail you can't retry. But normally you evade with a base of 8 due to will boosts, so you will rarely fail.

Dexter was a ton of fun to play. His asset play makes for some interesting decisions, and rogue play gives him access to power turns. I hope you will give this deck a shot!

Interesting deck that I want to try soon on TFA. Just a question: how you manage the encounter skill test (on agility overall)? I'm little bit afraid about them...

Thanks Flazzy! The agility treacheries are a problem that I usually handled through cancellation (WoP or Deny existence based on the consequences). For straight up evasion, I relied on Suggestion which is phenomenal in Dexter. A few times I found it necessary to pitch some of the rogue skill cards (especially if I could get an agility icon from Ursula at the same location). But it's really all about maintaining tempo. In my mystic decks, I find that if you try to cover all the "physicical" stats then your deck gets too diluted and unfocused. Maybe I'm just a bad deck builder! Hoep you'll have fun with it.
