My Monterey deck that accompanied Lily in taking a stroll through the Return to Forgotten Age (Two-Handed Solo, Standard difficulty), with a short diversion from the Blob side scenario. This is the deck that he took into Shattered Eons.

As with Lily,i sadly didn't record the level zero deck. The change would be quite interesting to see in hindsight, after all the massive amounts of XP from TFA did turn this into almost a pure Seeker deck.
In terms of deck concept, this is nothing too unusual. Movement and intellect. Clue compression where possible. Some card draw to go with the smaller deck. The special bits mostly come from three Permanents: Underworld Support, Miskatonic Archaeology Funding and Ancestral Knowledge.
Underworld Support is a fantastic card for Seeker/Rogue. Those two classes have so many good cards available that the drawback is no issue at all and having a smaller deck is always nice.
Ancestral Knowledge has become a Seeker standard for me by now. Having 5 extra skills on tap from the start is just fantastic value. The card easily rivals Stick to the Plan. Might actually be better in some cases.
For my 10 skills, i took three of the Desperate skills from Carcosa. To be honest, those didn't impress me much. Those slots might have been better suited for Daredevil, Nimble and Quick Thinking. Eh, it was worth a try.
Miskatonic Archaeology Funding enables the use of three allies, all of which give bonuses to intellect and have other excellent abilities. Monty also has no issues paying for those allies, so that was absolutely the correct call here.
Money comes from Milan, Crack the Case, Faustian and Emergency Cache. But mostly it comes from his investigator abilty which is just ridiculous. It's Jenny. And then some card draw on top just because.
Archive of Conduits ... is kinda junk? I never needed it and it feels like it's not worth the trouble researching it and then paying for it and having it block a handslot.
Prophesiae Profana i only bought after City of Archives, never drew it so far. I bought it just for the stat bonuses, so that should be fine!
Two cards i want to highlight that surprised me:
- Eye of Truth. I never really used this card before, always scared away by the big cost. I took it here because of Ancestral Knowledge... and it was really great. Having something like a Rotting Remains tucked away under it really takes a load of your shoulders. Will probably use this more often now.
- Jeremiah Kirby. At deck construction, i just took him as a "backup Milan". I ended up rather drawing him than Milan. At no point did i ever consider resource costs during deck building and yet i never drew fewer than three cards off of him, naming "even". Seriously impressed by this guy.
One card that didn't surprise me because i knew in advance that it was awesome:
- Gene Beauregard is nuts. The sort of crap you can pull with her ability is endless. From shoveling clues around to low shrouds to making piles for easy collection with Pilfer or Deduction(2), i used her an awful lot. The ability to push enemies around came up rarely, but was clutch a few times as well, mostly to push things into Lily's arms/hammer. I would play Gene if she was 5XP. At 3XP, she's a steal.
Monterey is deceptively powerful. Not gaining anything from the investigator ability happens very rarely, most of the time he just collects an extra resource. But often enough he can get a card on top and that just feels sooooo good. Sorry, Jenny. You got outclassed hard.
