TEACHER DECK?

The “Teacher Decks” are meant to provide an easy to explain decklist for an experienced player, with a full collection(up to the Edge of the Earth release), to give to a new player to show teach the game with.

Note that these decks aren’t super optimized or efficient like many of the decklists around here. That’s because it would defeat the point of these teacher decks. I’m just giving a solid platform to learn the game with.

It can be hard enough to learn the ins and outs of this game, lets not make it harder on ourselves by getting ahead of ourselves shall we?

These will generally include an overview of the deck, what it should be teaching, and some suggestions and thoughts on upgrades for the deck.

OVERVIEW

A fantastic character to get familiar with both combat and clues, if a bit brittle with his sanity. Allows for standard investigation tests and to “buy” clues with art student, working a hunch, evidence, and free clues off of Grete and Roland’s ability.

UPGRADES

“I’ve had worse”(2) should be the first card purchased, due to his low sanity and expensive class. Keen eye(3) and either Michael(5) or Grete(3) should be next, making high combat/shroud tests easier.

If you take mental trauma on Roland, immediately get Elder sign amulet. You will need the raw horror soak more than anything else at that point.

  • .45 Automatic (2)
  • Enchanted blade (3)
  • Magnifying glass (1)
  • Elder sign amulet (3)
  • Keen eye (3)
  • Charisma(3)
  • Micheal Leigh (5)
  • Grete (3)
  • Beat cop (3)
  • Quick study (2)
  • I’ve had worse (2/4)
  • Extra ammunition (1)
  • Moment of respite (3)
  • Overpower (2)
  • Vicious blow (2)
  • Deduction (2)

Is there a way to upload this to the Arkham cards app? Like copy paste it.

@Newmilwauke click the floppy disc symbol at the top right of the description (the wall of text above the comments), the one that looks like a square. That will save the deck to your list of decks here on arkhamdb.

ArkhamCards and arkhamdb are linked, so the deck should also appear at the top of your list of decks on ArkhamCards. Hope that helps.
