Here's a Charlie deck I took through Alice in Wonderland, alongside Amine.
This deck was derived from Playing Board Games' "Many faces of Charlie Kane" deck. I reverse engineered it to a 0xp deck and then followed a similar upgrade path.
Charlie as Seeker/Survivor worked really well in 2 player. I'd describe him as slow, steady and reliable. He's not going to do turns that get 6 clues, but he'll have stats spiked so high that only the tentacle stops him making progress.
There's a real joy when you get 6 Allies in play, and then puzzle out which ones to exhaust each turn.
My biggest conclusion is that I didn't feel that the upgraded allies really added to the power of the deck. Ikiaq, Field Agent gave stat boosts, but I didn't find myself using their ability much. Same with the upgraded Dr. William T. Maleson: I was reluctant to drop clues because of the loss of tempo.
Anyways: Charlie's a hoot.
