So if there is one thing Lola Hayes does really well it is allow you to build a deck containing all the cards you can use to Troll other players in your group! This is an attempt at a deck that does just that.
.32 Colt is definitely the best trolling weapon as it adds nothing to whilst still increasing damage - making it perfect for missing enemies and ‘accidentally’ hitting your friends instead. Vicious Blow just adds to the fun when you are pretty sure the +1 isn’t likely to make a difference. The .45 Automatic is the backup weapon as even a +1 shouldn’t increase your chances of hitting most enemies by too much!
‘Helping’ your allies with their health and sanity issues is the next order of the day. Medical Texts is rather unlikely to work with Lola’s middling 3 and with Rabbit's Foot you can draw more cards whilst injuring your friends! Liquid Courage should only be used on low investigators to force them to discard. Dynamite Blast provides a decent damage blast to an adjacent location - shame the other investigators didn’t get out of the way in time... We can also ‘help’ our friends with a timely Double or Nothing - what do they mean the test was made too hard for them? Losers!
Next we want a way to control the Encounter Cards we draw. Scrying let’s us set up a perfectly awful draw for some of our teammates whilst potentially giving you a relatively easy card and Alyssa Graham can repeatedly put mild cards to the bottom whilst adding more doom! Speaking of doom, Arcane Initiate provides even more whilst potentially finding a Scrying and makes a handy damage soak once the agenda has advanced. Delve Too Deep gives everyone a second Encounter Card. How fun!
The other allies in the deck are purely to annoy any investigator who relies on them for their deck to function. If we can get one of these unique allies out first then they will be unable to play them until ours is removed.
Last up we need some protection for ourselves and some extra resources to pay for all our wonderful cards. Emergency Cache and Lone Wolf help us afford to spread the love more liberally whilst Guts protects us from the most Encounter cards that could defeat us. Stealth is an amazing card for this kind of deck as it gives Lola a much appreciated +2 to evade checks but does not exhaust the enemy - allowing it to potentially hunt down the other players while we exit stage left. Who says a degree in performing arts is no use in the real world?
Big question mark in my head. Why would anyone play such a build in a MP game? It is likely you won't find 'friends' while playing this Lola build. Your 'team' mates will disgust the game and stop playing it if they are new to it. Perhaps you are an agent of Cthulhu and being paid to sabotage what is meant to be a 'cooperative' experience?
