This deck focuses on the interaction between Rod of Carnamagos and Armageddon/Eye of Chaos.
Both spells trigger for each a token revealed during the attack/investigation action, so they benefit from activating Rod of Carnamagos' trigger with a cursed bag. Remember that token revealed from the rod do not apply their modifier to the test, and even if you do reveal tokens on the token pull for the attack/investigation test, Armageddon/Eye of Chaos do not require you to pass the check to get the effect. You can also use 1 of the to recharge your spell.
Card choices
When you are not pulling tokens for the rod, Ritual Candles reduces to only -1 and Accursed/Diabolical Luck/Promise of Power can boost your stat to pass important checks (you could also add Skeptic, but I usually deckbuild with 19 exp standalone versions in mind).
Scrimshaw Charm, Call the Beyond, Faustian Bargain, Tempt Fate are the main curse generators for the deck.
Favor of the Moon and Olive McBride add consistency when pulling for the Rod of Carnamagos.
Underworld Support, Scroll of Prophecies, Black Market, Friends in Low Places are card draw/tutors for combo pieces.
Leather Jacket, Deny Existence are included for added survability.
Scout Ahead is used to open the map for the Eye
