Card pool: Core + Dunwich. Why? Because I like limited card pools.

Deck goals: getting clues, being tanky, being flexible enough to also fight enemies when needed.

Noteworthy:

  • We're trying to utilize Dark Horse, so flashlight and assets in general are kinda awkward. I've found myself often declining the resource at upkeep to improve my odds of passing a test in Mythos Phase. I usually start the scenario trying to get all of my assets into play, and then go into Dark Horse mode, at which point flashlight is a book symbol commit at best.
  • We don't really have to focus on clue gathering, the deck could have looked very different. We could replace Milans with like Beat Cops, and Magnifying Glass with a Machete.
  • We probably don't need to use our splash for Ward of Protection, but if you have it in your character's deck restrictions, it's kinda sad if you don't use it, right?
  • Scavenging is here mostly to recur our Leather Coats. And with Peter Sylvestre, we're probably not going to worry about our hp
  • Milan's ability is a reaction, so it's optional. When in Dark Horse mode, I often just don't take the resource. He's just a good way to boost our low book, plus he can accelerate our economy while still setting up and playing assets.
  • If your investigator has died in the middle of campaign, I think this deck could be a new one, as it doesn't need much xp at all. Not like it even could utilize a lot of xp, anyway...

Upgrades:

  1. Charisma, x2 Peter Sylvestre
  2. Cut Newspaper or Flashlight, add x1 Try and Try Again. Is it good in this deck? Is it worth the xp? I dunno, but the card sounds kinda fun, plus this card pool doesn't really have a lot of good cards. Like, where do you even spend xp on Ashcan? Maybe even get both copies of Try and Try Again
  3. If you're playing Dunwich, this is probably a good moment to get a story ally, and get another Charisma. Or maybe, if you're running Beat cops instead of Milan, you could have both cops at once! Yaay! (Sounds kinda bad)
  4. x2 Lucky!
  5. x2 Rabbit's Foot
  6. Kinda just cry and wonder what could have been. Or be happy that the deck doesn't need much xp to function at all

With this deck and Jenny Barnes (yeah...), I've won Dunwich without too much trouble. Here's Jenny's decklist if you're interested
