This Hank deck is an attempt to make a flexible opening Hank deck, giving him the tools he needs to flex and support a group, while not being completely useless on seeking out the occasional clue.

His weapon suite includes Meat Cleaver, allowing him to take that sanity hit if it will help him, as pushing him to be resolute may be just what you're after. Fire Axe provides solid damage without taking up two hand slots. As much as I wanted to stay on theme, I just couldn't bring myself to include Pitchfork.

Of course, hank is a little vulnerable in his final form, so having some kind of damage soaking that isn't healing is essential. Working with cows on the farm afforded Hank the opportunity for a nice Leather Coat, and his friendship with small-town high school hero Peter Sylvestre will help him keep his head on straight.

With tools like Sparrow Mask and Guided by Faith, he may not be totally useless at getting clues, but let's still hope he doesn't have to rely on his brains in his original form.

I just can't resist a head start on Arkham, so in true survivor fashion, I took In the Thick of It to get my Ancient Covenant out early. I have a feeling Hemlock will take advantage of the new Elusive keyword, so "Get over here!" should help with those fleeing enemies, or help a friend in need in multiplayer. If enemies really don't want to stay close-by, a Makeshift Trap with the net upgrade will help out later on. We'll see how this does in my next blind play-through, but I hope this deck provides inspiration to you!
