Hank is... not the brightest tool in the shed. He hasn't got a clue even if it hit him in the face. He doesn't even use his tools right. But Pa taught him to fight and Pa taught him to take care of his closests. And when his helping nature has reached a dead end and his very life is on the line he still does not give up. When Hank Samson would die he instead transforms into the far superior Assistant HUnk Samson. Assistant Hunk Samson is here to clue and here to fight! The ideal hunk to tacle any issue the mythos might throw at you!


This deck is built as a flex with two distinct phases: The first phase, the generic not cool Hank Samson can use Meat Cleaver to fight and Old Keyring + Matchbox to gather clues by reducing 2-3 shroud locations to 0. During this phase, you want to find Dark Horse so it is ready for the next phase. The second phase, unlocking Han Samson's true potential: Assisant Hunk Samson. Here you would use Dark Horse to get to 4 intellect and 5 fight value - as well as very a respectable agility and willpower. Use Mariner's Compass and Fire Axe to do your stuff and remember to get rid of your resources!

How do you get rid of your resources? Well Fire Axe, Mariner's Compass, and Dig Deep are there to help you in a pinch, but the true potential lies in transforming your resources into non-resource resources. Schoffner's Catalogue is the obvious example, but Act of Desperation and Hunting Jacket has the same use! Place cards underneath Hunting Jacket in phase two only when you need the resources and use Act of Desperation to efficiently swap out Meat Cleaver with Mariner's Compass! Try to avoid using Schoffner's Catalogue to buy things during the first phase, as you might need it in the second phase.
