The goal of the deck is to get to 6/6/6/6 as fast as possible and keep it that way for the rest of the game.

Tips

  • Mulligan hard for cheap assets and card economy.
  • Fill up your Ravenous as fast as possible before you are forced to stop because of the Reality Acid.
  • Make use of action windows. For example, you can devour Old Keyring, Lockpicks, or David Renfield before they are discarded or become a problem.
  • Don't forget you can devour weaknesses in the threat area with the investigator's ability.

Class Count

  • Guardian: 10

I am still fairly new to the game, have only really started playing heavily this year. Wehn is the action window between when you use the last supply on something like Old Keyring or Lockpicks and before it is discarded? I am just getting in to using the window properly and would love any advice.

@EnderDragonwelcome to this great game :)

The trick is that Old Keyring is discarded only after you remove the last key from it. In order to maximize the card's use, spend an action to Investigate with −2 shroud, then devour the card. You still get to add cards to the test, pull a token from the chaos bag, and investigate with reduced shroud.

Lockpicks act absolutely the same, but you should only devour it if you think you won't be able to succeed by at least 2 in the test. This whole idea works much better with Lockpicks (1).

David Renfield also requires some attention. If you don't want him to stay for the Mythos Phase, you can devour him is right after the Upkeep Phase starts and before you ready exhausted cards. This way, he can stay for the Enemy Phase.
