This is a Trish deck that went through a version of Dream Eaters called Dreams Within Dreams: you play both sides! This was during Campaign Playalong on Mythos Busters Discord server, very enjoyable event where people play a scenario weekly and share their adventures; the deckbuilding is limited by the cycle played (an artifact of times where Investigator Expansion and Campaign Expansion was released in small batches called Mythos Packs - so everyone who had a complete cycle had all player cards of that cycle) plus standalone investigators plus the revised core. This can be bent by taking Contracts (that hurt you in creative ways for access to a card outside of normal deckbuilding), which is something I did too. Join the server and learn more about it I guess?
So Trish was running Lockpicks and Mauser C96 and that was enough for pretty much everything, but then the monsters started to get meatier, and Ornate Bow was taken (for a Contract); normal sequence was play with lockpicks and gun, if something big pops out, get the Bow out, then get out. I had a couple of must-pass tests, and I passed them with Three Aces. I could not have won the final scenario without Segment of Onyx. Lucky Cigarette Case would be great if I had an action to play it.
So Trish, as expected, was an amazing cluever; too many enemies would probably swarm her, but as long as Trish was moving, she was hard to catch. My one regret is not taking Shortcut, but I'm not sure what would I drop for it. Surely not The Black Cat!
