The Blob That Ate Everything | Epic Multiplayer
This was the deck I was bestowed upon for the Secret Santa Arkham Horror LCG event held in Melbourne, Australia on the 13th December 2025.
Special Thanks to Kieran for building this deck.
I swapped out Drawing Thin for another copy of Crafty - with his permission - as I try to avoid playing cards tabooed down.
We had 2 tables of 3, with our table consisting of:
- Rita Young - Role: Flex - leaning / . Lead Investigator
- George Barnaby - Role: Clue.
This was my Secret Santa "contribution" and was played by Jamal - Mark Harrigan - Role: Combat.
Lightning Gun madness!
As it happened...
Halfway through the event I was getting a headache and wasn't much "tuned in". Hopefully I captured the best moments here.
- Failed at setup. Drew the Vulnerable Heart as an encounter before realizing we missed the step to set aside a bunch of cards. My bad.
- Starting with Peter Sylvestre was nice. Had Sparrow Mask in my opening hand, and played it early - though only used it once the entire game.
- Early game I drew At a Crossroads, chose myself to lose an action to draw 3 cards - which drew into the other At a Crossroads, choosing Mark Harrigan to draw 3 - which caused him to draw into Hypochondria. Mark Harrigan proceeded to draw something to cause him to lose another action - meaning he couldn't get rid of Hypochondria. Oh well.
- Had a massive round where I hit the Vulnerable Heart with a Sweeping Kick and a Pitchfork, and Mark Harrigan shot it twice with a Custom Ammunition enhanced Lightning Gun - additionally powered by a Long Shot - maxing out the damage dealt.
- Misread the Vulnerable Heart - missed the cannot be evaded. Oops.
- We defeated the blob on the 3rd Act cycle.
Yay! My brain was no longer working though. - Sadly, never saw the use of Survival Technique and Shrine of the Moirai. Never drew the Track Shoes despite almost drawing through.
I was way too irritable towards the end of the event. My apologies to everyone!
