Agnes set for first solo play through starting with Dunwich legacy. Trying to keep it reasonably thematic for Agnes.

Clarity of Mind is a waste of a slot. It's simply a bad card because it is so slow to use, you're not going to want it.

I'd consider Flashlight, Leather Coat or Fire Axe.

Thanks for the comment Veneretio, it is much appreciated!

After playing a few rounds with this deck I couldn't agree more.

I think this deck has a few cards which are not pulling their weight:

  • clarity of mind x2 - too slow to ever use
  • perception x2 - I investigate primarily with 'rite of seeking', if I have to use intellect then pumping it up with 'arcane studies' is usually better
  • fearless x2 - makes drawing the cards I want take longer
  • blinding light x2 - unsure, this has saved me once or twice
  • look what I found x2 - this would only work well if I had flashlights or similar

Right now the deck has way too many cards which deal with intellect, it takes too longer to find my spells and bring them out.

I usually rely on 'arcane initiate' or scrying to help out, but initiate isn't compatible with 'peter sylvestre' due to the one ally limit.

It might also be a good idea for me to include some non-spell ways of dealing damage, as I should be saving Shrivelling and 'Forbidden knowledge' for bigger baddies.

Fire axe looks solid, thanks!

I really appreciate any input :D

Actually I was mistaken, 'look what I found' is useful primarily for using it to recover from a failure (even using a non intellect test) - I just never use it for the 2 intellect.

Two big favourites of mine in Agnes are Take Heart and Premonition.
