Cryptic Badge Loop

disclaimer: I did not discover the combo, but I cannot remember the name of the person that did suggest this. I don't take any credit, I just wanted to share a list I made that uses this loop as I wasn't able to find one on this site

How to play

Only play your assets when you need handspace except for both Dream-Enhancing Serums that you will need asap. Hold the rest of the cards in hand until both deck and discard pile are empty. Do not discard any card unless you are planning to recur them with the loop explained below. Ask your local mystic or guardian for protection from nasty threacheries until you are set up (or gamble with Dr. William T. Maleson if desperate).

Loop

Discard Police Badge, gain 2 actions: use 1 of those actions to play Emergency Cache, then re-shuffle with Cryptic Research and spend the second bonus action to play Ever Vigilant (playing Police Badge and Laboratory Assistant). Play a second Cryptic Research to re-reshuffle again.

This loop grants an additional resource every time, so you may skip the action to play Emergency Cache every 4 loops, effectively gaining infinite actions.

A couple of Cryptic Writings already in your discard pile can accelerate the combo, eliminating the need for Emergency Cache.

Laboratory Assistants will tank the horror for re-shuffling.
