This was my end deck for Darrell Simmons for my blind run thru of The Scarlett Keys. I was pleased with how well it worked.

This deck utilizes Dr. William T. Maleson and the upgraded version, along with Quick Study and to a lesser extent Analysis and Captivating Discovery.

You want to start off with Research Notes in play. Preferably both if possible. Getting Press Pass gives you an extra action or two if both are in play. The level two Dr. William T. Maleson is close to being a Ward of Protection every round.

This deck is simple to run. Use Dr. Maleson to drop a clue during the mythos phase. Stop the really nasty card for a less nasty card. Put an evidence on each Research Notes, Get another action from Press Pass or two if you have Relic Hunter and both are in play.

When you are ready to exchange the evidence for clues you test book at 0 and get a clue for each point you succeed by (max 3 for the current taboo list). You are not investigating so Locked Door and Obscuring Fog don't affect you. The five and six shroud locations are now jokes to you.

The upgrade path is simple. Start with Press Pass then Quick Study and Dr. William T. Maleson and Relic Hunter. Next should be Whitton Greene, Charisma and Pathfinder. The final upgrades were just improving from the level 0 versions.
