I was asked to post this deck as an example of a "lean" style of play.

If your opening hand contains Old Book of Lore, keep it and use your Mulligan to optimise your opening turns with events or skills (usually Deduction).

If your opening hand does not contain Old Book of Lore, but does contain Research Librarian, keep the Research Librarian and mulligan everything else.

If your opening hand contains neither Old Book of Lore, nor Research Librarian, mulligan everything.

12 skills, 12 events, 6 assets is a very aggressive setup. Even the Research Librarian is only necessary if you fail to find Old Book of Lore after mulligan.

Ideally you play an Old Book of Lore and a Magnifying Glass on turn 1, and then never put any other cards into play. You save a lot of time getting set up vs slower decks, and Old Book of Lore helps you avoid running out of steam in the lategame.

Get clues and advance the act as fast as possible. Don't hang around. The less time you spend, the fewer encounter cards you have to deal with, the better your chances of success.

This deck cannot fight. It needs to be paired with someone who can. In 2-player I'd add Roland, in 3-player I'd add Roland and Ashcan Pete, in 4-player ideally I think I'd add Roland, Ashcan Pete, and Rex - although Agnes will do instead of Rex if you're a sane person with a collection that can't field three seekers!

You're running Barricade over Seeking Answers, Ritual Candles, Emergency Cache, Forbidden Knowledge, and Fearless. Is that mix of skill signs really important to you, or do you actually see yourself playing Barricade sometime?

@kision314 The deck is incredibly cheap (my kit ideally costs 4 resources), so I don't feel the need Emergency Cache or Forbidden Knowledge (or Dr Milan).

I've played Fearless before, but never found particular use for it. You can't use it to support your party, and Daisy is usually far more concerned with her 5 Health than her 9 Sanity.

Seeking Answers is an interesting shout, but unless you can use it to avoid having to go to a location, it doesn't actually save you any actions in Daisy. I'd probably add it in Rougarou (or in Rex!) but it doesn't feel like it pulls its weight normally.

I haven't yet had a chance to test Ritual Candles in Daisy. Agnes and Pete are using mine!

Barricade is mostly there for the icons, and usually gets replaced with Encyclopedia.

What about Pathfinder? Free movement seems really good in this deck, especially without Seeking Answers, and you can play it whenever you draw it as it's not a vital part of the rig.

I haven't played with any of the cards in Museum yet. Pathfinder looks like an interesting addition. I like Shortcut better (because it's faster), but it might still be worthwhile to play both.

@mowglieI imagine this is an effective build for a dedicated clue gatherer in a two player game. She does one thing, and she does it fast and exceptionally well. Thanks for sharing!

I would definitely upgrade to Encyclopedia and Pathfinder. Pathfinder would make this deck even faster at hunting down clues.
