Skids is, as some the Frenchies use to say, a "babtou fragile". He is more of a sneaky guy who tries to sell you shitty stuff in a dark alley than a brightfull hero. He is broke Hospital Debts), barely a coward and would always prefer to spend somes dollars to try to escape than fight (i.e his capacity). So to sum up, I really think Skids is not here to help, he is here to save his ass and that's the reason why I built a deck to save yours and let your pals do the dirty job.
The core deck
Skids has average stats : medium and , low and just a decent . You can't be the main investigator of your party, so you are here to help. Doing what ? Scouting. I guess that's why Skids is the only character who can have a 4th non specific action in a round, just again 2 resources (resources are important with Skids).
Your job will be to move around the locations, explore if you have to, spot enemies, distract or kill them sometimes (or if you can) and grab few clues to help the others.
In order to do so, you need to act 4 fours times (or 5) as often as you can. Two ways to manage that :
- Leo De Luca ;
- Money with Lone Wolf and Emergency Cache.
Skids has a real money problem, he doesn't come from a wealthy or powerfull family, like Jenny or Preston. He is a crook who robs banks, take his money and gamble it.
When you are not earning money, you are human decoy to the enemies. Trench Coat and Pickpocketing are here to help you escaping after grabbing clues with Scene of the Crime.
It will come a time during your play, where evade will be difficult ans who won't have the choice : kill, with #Hatchet Man, Sneak Attack and Coup de Grâce for easy damage. Macheteand .45 Thompson are used for classic rough fight.
Mulligan hard to have at least, Leo, Lone wolf or Trenchcoat.
To finish, two cards to counter the low of Skids : Something Worth Fighting For and "You handle this one!".
The upgrades
Adaptable will get you more flexibily, usually switching scene of crime for Dynamite Blastor "I'm outta here!"
Leo De Luca > Leo De Luca ; Pay Day > Emergency Cache for burst of 4-5 resources ; Sneak Attack > Sneak Attack ; Mano a Mano > Vicious Blow because we prefer direct damage to fight ;
In a second time, if you need more firepower : Machete > Lupara or more card advantage : Something Worth Fighting For > Police Badge. If you need strong firepower : Chicago Typewriter > .45 Thompson or evade boost Streetwise
