A clue-finding deck that uses Carolyn's ability to generate money. The best way of healing other people is by giving them Solemn Vow to transfer horror from themselves and their allies to Peter Sylvestre. You don't spend any actions and you get the money from Carolyn's ability.

I played a deck pretty similar to this in a 4-player run through Circle Undone, which perhaps explains why there are so many willpower symbols here. I'm still not completely sure whether the money vs. cost balance is right. The Black Book is basically a much, much better Forbidden Knowledge and makes an enormous difference. If you do get it, I would even upgrade into a package of Stick to the Plan, Ever Vigilant, and a single Research Librarian to try to get it out on turn 1.

Be warned that with Mr. "Rook" you'll probably have to deal with Rational Thought pretty early in the scenario. Your main tools for getting rid of it are Liquid Courage and later Clarity of Mind. Kill it fast to get your Peter Sylvestre money engine running again.

Another fun thing to try: "fake" upgraded ward with "Let me handle this!" + Ward of Protection since Carolyn can't take Ward of Protection Level 2.

Upgrades, roughly in order of priority:

Peter Sylvestre Level 2

Charisma

Relic Hunter

Stand Together

Tooth of Eztli

Liquid Courage -> Clarity of Mind Level 3

Shortcut -> Pathfinder

If your money situation is good, you can add a second Charisma and more allies like Alice Luxley or Brother Xavier. Calling in Favors with Mr. "Rook" enables all kinds of amazing nonsense.
